Obituary for Patsy Mellott

Patsy L. Mellott, 83, of St. Thomas passed away on Wednesday January 17, 2018 at the Village of Laurel Run in Fayetteville, PA.
Born October 26, 1934, in Williamson, PA, she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Lottie Henninger Stoner.
Patsy Mellott was raised in St. Thomas, Pennsylvania and attended St. Thomas High School. She married Clarence E. Mellott and worked at the Stanely Clothing Company for 40 years. Together, they raised one daughter, Beverly M. Higgins. Patsy enjoyed shopping very much as well as cooking and traveling. She was a member of the St. James United Brethren Church of Chambersburg, PA.
Surviving family include her son-in-law Roger Higgins and grandson Jason Higgins and his wife Jen and two grandchildren, Elizah and Dawson Higgins. She is also survived by a close friend, Charlie Miller.
Patsy is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Mellott, and her daughter, Beverly M. Higgins. Also preceding her in death are her siblings: Edna Stoner, Mable Rosenberry, Alma Yeager, Ruth Elliott, Dorothy Shubert, Eleanor Thomas, Gladys Keefer, Gail Stoner, Harold Stoner, Clyde Stoner, and Richard Stoner.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 11 AM at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home, Mercersburg PA. A viewing will take place 1 hour prior. Pastor John Shubert and Murray Stevens will be officiating the service. A burial will take place at St. Thomas Cemetery.
