Obituary for Coralee Brake

Coralee Brake
Coralee Brake, 86, of St. Thomas and formerly of Mercersburg, died November 11, 2017 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born October 15, 1931, in Greencastle, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Robert T and Genevieve Pittman Beeler.
Coralee attended Greencastle schools and was first employed by the former Stanley Company of Chambersburg. In 1951 she married Reverend Roy E. Brake, Sr. Together, they raised three children; Roy, Annette and Sharon. She later worked for HJ Heinz company and later for Philips Flower shop in Mercersburg. She was a pastor’s wife and Sunday school teacher for thirty years at Mt. Tabor Brethren & Christ Church, Mercersburg, and later joined the Westside Brethren and Christ Church of Chambersburg. Coralee was a loving and generous person.
Surviving family include a son, Roy E. (Bonnie) Brake, Jr. of Chambersburg, two daughters, Annette K. (Marvin) Musser of St. Thomas, and Sharon E. Brake of Hagerstown. Twelve grandchildren; Matthew, Joseph, Johnathan, David, Melody, Faith, Jewel, Harmony Musser, Charity and Joy Martin, April Brake, Kari McKown, and seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Ruth Ann Rotz of Greencastle.
Coralee was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Roy E. Brake, Sr. who died August 1, 2010, her brother Robert Beeler Jr., and a grandchild.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM November 16, 2017 at West Side Brethren In Christ Church, 2665 Lincoln Way W, Chambersburg, with Reverend James Sollenberger and Pastor Marvin Musser officiating. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery.
Viewing 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at Lininger-Fries Funeral Home Inc., Mercersburg and one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church.
