Obituary for Shirley Timmons-Bivens

Shirley “Sis” Timmons-Bivens, 77, of Mercersburg, left us to be with the Lord on March 24, 2017, at Quincy Village, Quincy, PA, after a short battle with Leukemia.
Born July 24, 1939 in Clear Spring, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late Chester and Helen (Ruebeck) Albright.
Shirly attended Two Top Fellowship Church. Throughout her career, she worked for Stanley Products Corporation Chambersburg, PA, Barclay Finance Corporation Hagerstown, MD, Mercersburg VFW, American Legion, and Wal Mart before retiring.
Surviving family include her husband, Donald O. Bivens, whom she married April 18, 1987, children, Victor Timmons (Barbara) of Blades, DE, Jeffery Timmons (Barbie) of Dover, DE, Donald Bivens Jr. of Shippensburg, PA, and Katha Baer of Mercersburg, PA. Brother Joseph Albright (Betty) of Clear Spring, MD, Robert Albright (Bonnie) of Chambersburg, PA, John Albright (Bonnie) of Waynesboro, PA. A sister Edith (David) Whorten of Falling Waters, WV, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and soon to be eight in September. Also surviving Shirley is a lifelong friend and caregiver Bonnie Murray of Chambersburg PA.
Shirley is preceded in death by her first husband, Charles H. “Bud” Timmons, and five brothers, Chester, Kenneth, Michael, Roger, and James Albright. She was a wonderful mother, sister, and a caring friend to all.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM March 29, 2017 at Two-Top Fellowship Church with Reverend Paul Martin and Bob Timmons officiating.
Viewing 6:00 – 9:00 PM Tuesday, March 28 2017 at the Two Top Fellowship Church.
