Obituary for Jane Wagner

Jane Wagner
Jane G. Wagner, 91, formerly of Mercersburg, died March 19, 2017, at Providence Place, Chambersburg.
Born December 8, 1925, at Mercersburg, she was a daughter of the late Fred C. and Pearl Hoover Gluck.
Jane was a 1944 graduate of the former Lemasters High School. Following graduation, she attended Thompson Business College of York, PA. Jane was employed for 39 years by the former Farmers Bank & Valley Bank of Mercersburg.
She was a lifelong member of Trinity United Church of Christ of Mercersburg, where she sang in the choir as a young woman, and was a former financial secretary and member of consistory. Member of Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post #517 of Mercersburg. Jane was treasurer for 20 years of the local chapter of the American Red Cross, and after it was disbanded, she helped with local blood services for another 15 years. She delivered Meals on Wheels for several years. Always active, she bowled for many years and enjoyed walking.
Her husband, Harold E. Wagner, whom she married on November 9, 1946, died October 18, 2016.
Surviving family include a son, Fred L. (Beverly) Wagner of Maryville, TN; a grandson, F. Andrew Wagner of Knoxville, TN; a brother, Carl (Doris) Gluck of Mercersburg, brother in law of Jack Feaster Duncannon, PA. Also surviving are nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM March 30, 2017 at Trinity UCC, 129 E. Seminary Street, Mercersburg with Reverend Ileana Bosenbark officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service Thursday at the church
Interment at Fairview Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
The family requests the omission of flowers. Contributions may be made to Trinity UCC, 129 E. Seminary St., Mercersburg, PA 17236 or Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 17, Lemasters, PA 17231.
